Branding your business is the most important task in developing your business and online presence. Branding means having a great logo and website – both of which are your “introduction” to the world. It’s your “handshake” when you meet potential clients and business associates. MCG can assist you with figuring out what your brand should look like and how to incorporate it into your new website. Several things to keep in mind when developing your logo:
- Along with a Logo, also think about creating a tagline that people will remember. For example, Visibility Marketing’s tagline is, “Making You More Visible.”
- Don’t settle for the first designer or first draft. Ask several designers for samples of concepts. Narrow your designs down to about three.
- Don’t over do it! Keep it simple. You want something that will be catchy to the eye but not too “busy” that people will not look at it.
- Use a focus group. Using focus groups to discuss your business and design options is great because these individuals may one day be customers. They can give you creative feedback on your logos as well.
- Don’t keep changing our logo! Keep it for a while. Just when YOU get bored with it, others are just starting to notice it!
